About

EnergyNet Tracker is a public registry and map of projects in the EnergyNet / Energy Protocol lineage: the internet-style approach to distributing energy, where switches and routers move packets of energy between producers, storage and consumers under an open protocol.

It is a neutral community project aligned with the EnergyNet engineering taskforce. It is not owned by any vendor. The data is open and the code is on GitHub.

What is included

Scope is deliberately strict. A project belongs here if it explicitly builds on, implements, extends or studies EnergyNet or the Energy Protocol (EP). Generic smart-grid, energy-community or peer-to-peer trading projects without that lineage are out of scope. If in doubt, submit it and the editors will decide.

How projects are classified

Stage is the pin colour on the map: Concept, Research, Specification, Pilot, Operational, Discontinued.

Type: Paper, Standard / protocol, Software, Hardware, Deployment, Policy. Papers, standards and policy are "theory" work with no physical site, so they are pinned at the lead organisation with a hollow marker.

Scale: Device, Building, Neighbourhood, City, Region, National, Global.

A project can have several locations. A collaboration between a city and a university gets one pin at each.

Editorial process

Anyone can submit a project. Submissions become a pull request in the repository, an editor checks the facts and the scope, and merging publishes the entry. Entries carry an unverified badge until an editor confirms the facts with a primary source.

Embed the map

Paste this on your own site. Add ?stage=pilot, ?country=SE, ?tag=dc or ?focus=<project-id> to the URL to pre-filter.

Filtered views of the main map are also linkable: the filters and the map viewport are stored in the URL, so copy the address bar to share exactly what you see.
